Rapper Maliibu Miitch’s fun & gritty animated alter ego “Sailor Goon”!
From the very beginning, this project was about more than creating an animated visual. It was about world‑building — giving form, motion, and longevity to an alter ego that has evolved alongside Maliibu Miitch’s career. Our goal was to translate her unapologetic New York attitude, playful confidence, and cultural influences into a bold animated character / Brand.
Sailor Goon first appeared in 2021 as the cover art for Maliibu Miitch’s single “No Filter.” For Slide Remix, the character needed a reboot. Now established she has appered in her latest 2026 single " Sailor Goon.
The finished animation delivered more than a music visual — it helped solidify Sailor Goon as a lasting character in Maliibu Miitch’s creative universe.
Development
The narrative leans into motion, swagger, and confidence — visually echoing the track’s momentum while allowing Sailor Goon to command the screen as both protagonist and icon.
